You owe it to yourself to look good

It's official, BD is jumping on the Malin + Goetz bandwagon. The brand-new line from a former Kiehl's lad and his partner debuted to strong notices for its well-edited, no-nonsense line of hair, face and body care (two simple products each). Especially useful to BD—not a bureau made up of morning people—is the gentle, non-detergent-y shampoo, whose fierce peppermint infusion will rouse your senses better than any alarm clock. Its companion conditioner, laced with coriander and good for daily use, both manages tangles and inspires one to roast a chicken. It's all about dual use.

Formerly the brains behind Prescriptives, Sylvie Chantecaille and her daughter Olivia are rocking our world with Biodynamic Lifting Crème, a slightly twisted entry to the mega-loaded, mega-costly mega-crème annals (think La Mer, Kanebo La Crème, Cle de Peau). Already chock-full of refined botanicals to smooth, lift and moisturize, the pricey ($290) crème's star ingredient is phyto hexapeptide, a gentle plant-based ingredient said to "release facial contractions." No, it won't totally paralyze you (for most people, this is a good thing), but damn if we didn't feel a noticeable plumping sensation upon first application.

For its super-bargain prices, pockets of Hello Kitty-chic packaging and the gentle way it gets results, we’re big fans of Japanese olive oil-based line DHC. Especially good for travelers is its mildly exfoliating Washing Powder, which won’t slime all over your other products if it pops open mid-flight. It’s pH-balanced, enriched with soy proteins and papaya extract, and cleans your pores with ease. Just add water and wash. If only cleaning our consciences were so easy. 1.7 oz for $8.50.

Fabien Baron—graphics guru, branding visionary, multitasking myth-maker—can do more in 15 minutes than just about anyone. So it was no great surprise when news spread earlier this year that he'd been named editorial director of Andy Warhol's Interview. At his new West Village digs, he opened up to Hint about everything from his redesign of the magazine to his designs on the White House.

You might think, given his collaboration with leather-goods house Schott, that Jeremy Scott is going butch. After all, Schott created the biker jackets worn by Marlon Brando and James Dean. But no, that manly legacy is given a swishy twist, like this rococo tea print of treasure trolls in pastoral repose. Also this month: Marni, Stella McCartney, Tom Binns and more.
