Capri isn't just a romping ground for George Clooney, it's home to one of the world's oldest perfumers, Carthusia. Founded in 1380, after the father prior of the St. Giacomo monastery discovered that water in which flowers were kept smelled a lot better than his fellow friars, it wasn't until 1948 that the monastery revived the good father's artisanal formulas (with the help of a chemist, natch). Fiori di Capri, the carnation and lily of the valley-infused signature scent (there are four total), certainly has the kind of super-femme old-world wallop that made Jackie Kennedy a fan. They say Clooney is, too. Guess it takes more than a few Coen brothers flicks to reel in the chicks. $50 for 1.7 oz Eau de Toilette spray; $98 for 1.7 oz Eau de Parfum (with classic atomizer), at Aedes.com.
Diane Von Furstenberg

If anyone could figure out how to turn back time, it'd be ageless hottie Diane von Furstenberg. Cracking open one of DVF Beauty's Glamour Compacts, we're once again 13 and mom's bought us one of those starter makeup palettes for our first grown-up Christmas. Except where those kits were total crap, DVF's three lip colors, four eye shadows, two blushes and translucent powder (available in red, pink, gold or neutral) are well edited, pack pigment and blend well. On the down side, although the options for both a day and evening face are bite-sized, portability still isn't great. But if you're not a gifted color-matcher and need, say, a holiday collection in one fell swoop, the Stop Traffic Red compact is a pretty fierce little combo. $75 at Henri Bendel, 212-841-9400.

Bodycare veterans Molton Brown have already dabbled in makeup and home fragrance to sweet effect; now they're launching a skincare line. We like the gentle foaming cleanser and effective, no-frills mattifier well enough, but are over the moon about the stripped-down, stay-on Lipsaver Vitamin SPF 8 balm. A simple combo of beeswax, vitamin E and honey, it heals cracks, lasts for hours and has a gentle rosebud taste. We'd tell you more but are too busy assembling an arsenal of the stuff. One tube for the desk, one by the bed, one for each bag… Yeesh. $16 at Moltonbrown.co.uk

Fabien Baron—graphics guru, branding visionary, multitasking myth-maker—can do more in 15 minutes than just about anyone. So it was no great surprise when news spread earlier this year that he'd been named editorial director of Andy Warhol's Interview. At his new West Village digs, he opened up to Hint about everything from his redesign of the magazine to his designs on the White House.

You might think, given his collaboration with leather-goods house Schott, that Jeremy Scott is going butch. After all, Schott created the biker jackets worn by Marlon Brando and James Dean. But no, that manly legacy is given a swishy twist, like this rococo tea print of treasure trolls in pastoral repose. Also this month: Marni, Stella McCartney, Tom Binns and more.
