You owe it to yourself to look good

When Bond No 9 launched the Eau de New York series—Eau de parfums crafted to salute different parts of our fair city—we were confused. Is it really wise, wondered BD, to push the olfactory landscape of New York as a good thing? Take the latest in Bond's portfolio, Little Italy. Would we smell of day-old wifebeater dipped in sausage and pepper grease with a hint of fish sauce from nearby Chinatown? Thankfully, no. It's more creamsicle—a little bit sweet, with orange and citrus extracts available, like your favorite prosciutto, only in the old country. $168 for 3.3 oz at Saksfifthavenue.com

We love a sprinkling of super-fine shimmer powder on the cheek but, man, is that stuff a nightmare of a mess to use. So bless "celebrity makeup artist" (what does that mean anyway?) Susan Posnick. We may not have heard of her before, but the genius sponge-tip applicator on her four flattering mineral-based cheek dusters means the only flyaway powder you'll be cleaning up in your bathroom is the illegal kind. (No one ever said this was a family column.)

Though makeup guru Pat McGrath just bailed Giorgio Armani Cosmetics for Proctor & Gamble, at least she left Armani with the most genius highlighter/concealer since YSL's Touche Eclat. No, wait, High Precision Retouch is even better than Touche: its three shades are more natural (if you're no darker than Catherine Zeta Jones, that is—Pat didn't make one to match even her own dark loveliness); it's liquidy, blendable and more pigmented; and the wand's super-fine brush allows for more targeted application. If the people at Armani are shedding any tears at Pat's exit (though we suspect they'll be just fine), now they have something REALLY GOOD they can use to quell the redness. At Giorgio Armani boutiques worldwide.

You know you were tanning this summer—and we do too thanks to your wrinkly, leathery chest. If you're not French, and therefore raised to use a separate cream per square inch of your body, the decolletage is an area you forget to treat. So here comes Decleor to the rescue with Vitaroma Lift Total. Get over the seeming spuriousness of a special anti-aging cream just for the boob and neck area—just look at your chest again! Yeesh. The gel-cream has plant-based hormones and proteins to protect as it tightens and it feels cool and tingly when you put it on. At Sephora.com

After a summer of oxidating color, chlorine, wind and—let's admit it—poor hygiene, your tresses feel as smooth as one of Bill O'Reilly's loofahs. Turn to swanky Senscience—specifically their two-step, cuticle-repairing C.P.R. treatment. Packed with antioxidants, vitamins (A, B-complex, C, E), proteins, moisture-balancing sugars, lipids and more, the cream is rinsed only at the very end. The stuff is so rich you're better off washing off, actually, but the result? Your frizz is gone, your hair shaft is stronger, and who doesn't love a strong shaft? (Remember, not a family column over here.) Available by calling 800-626-3684.

Fabien Baron—graphics guru, branding visionary, multitasking myth-maker—can do more in 15 minutes than just about anyone. So it was no great surprise when news spread earlier this year that he'd been named editorial director of Andy Warhol's Interview. At his new West Village digs, he opened up to Hint about everything from his redesign of the magazine to his designs on the White House.

You might think, given his collaboration with leather-goods house Schott, that Jeremy Scott is going butch. After all, Schott created the biker jackets worn by Marlon Brando and James Dean. But no, that manly legacy is given a swishy twist, like this rococo tea print of treasure trolls in pastoral repose. Also this month: Marni, Stella McCartney, Tom Binns and more.
