What we're Jonesing for—right now

Hermès
Dogs and alligators don't usually mix (just ask swamp-adjacent, poodle-less Floridians), but leave it to Hermès to create a harmonious hybrid with its Collier de Chien bracelet.
Lowdown: Comes in all colors of the rainbow, with either gold or silver hardware.
Price: $1250 for alligator, $890 for suede or leather
At: Hermès boutiques worldwide, including 691 Madison Avenue, New York, 212-751-3181

Comme des Garçons
It's the invasion of Comme des Garçons fragrances! But fear not. While Pearly Monster and Beady Monster look scary, they're only the anti-house's classic and beloved Eau de Parfum and White scents—in frightfully limited-edition holiday costumes.
Lowdown: Designed by Rei Kawakubo herself.
Price: $130 each
At: Comme des Garçons stores worldwide, including 520 W. 22nd St., New York (212-604-9200) and Dover Street Market, 17-18 Dover Street, London (+44 20 7518 0680)

A.P.C.
Jean Touitou of A.P.C. told us he wanted to make these golf club covers because the ridiculous old kind (think poms poms) "distract a gentleman from his game." Could this spell the end of plaid golf pants, too?
Lowdown: In black, cream and fuzzy brown; made from left-over leather from the French label's bag production because, he says, "I hate the idea of leather going to waste. It depresses me."
Price: Only $75 each!
At: A.P.C. boutiques worldwide (including, most likely, the L.A. store that opens in 2007) and online at A.P.C.

Paul Smith
There's no question the eccentric Paul Smith knows his stripes—they're his signature. But did you know the men's designer and Sir can also tan a killer distressed bag? This schoolboy version will make you want to learn your stripes, too.
Lowdown: Equipped with antique closures and large buckles that snap closed; currently in dark brown leather, but more shades available in spring.
Price: Around $1100
At: the new New York Paul Smith store, 142 Greene Street, SoHo, 646-613-3060

Obesity and Speed
New York label Obesity and Speed shows some glove love with this fingerless cashmere pair, dripping with handsewn charms and chains that hail from old rosaries and other goth-y sources.
Lowdown: In black and gray for now, but look for more colors, and even prints, come spring. Also try on the duo's amazing elbow-length style. Fun Fact: The name Obesity and Speed comes from a song lyric.
Price: $250
At: Select Barneys Co-ops. Call ahead for availability.

  Hint Shop
If Rad Hourani were writing this blurb, it would be over already. That's because, for the soon-to-explode French-Canadian designer, it's all about extreme minimalism. Thus, the concept behind this one-size-fits-all, unisex, sleeveless T-shirt—printed with the dates and times of a calendar—is that it can be worn by anyone, anytime.

 Shoptart
You might think, given his collaboration with leather-goods house Schott, that Jeremy Scott is going butch. After all, Schott created the biker jackets worn by Marlon Brando and James Dean. But no, that manly legacy is given a swishy twist, like this rococo tea print of treasure trolls in pastoral repose. Also this month: Marni, Stella McCartney, Tom Binns and more.
