The art of parties and beyond

Colette, Neistat Brothers
Oct. 3, 2005: Jackass art revolutionaries from New York, brothers Van and Casey Neistat kicked off the Paris Fashion Week party circuit this season with an opening night soiree at colette, replete with a tap dance performance, a selection of short films for which they're notorious, items from their new customizable fashion line and other wacky works including a holy bible filled with porn. The after-party, however, was even more salacious as it also served as the opening of new club Le ParisParis. There, famished fashion folk including film director Wes Anderson, jewelry designer Marko Matysyk, Mark Eley of London label Eley Kishimoto and the club's owner Andre (aka the graffiti king of Paris) indulged in red wine, sausage, cheese and baguettes, while others had fun playing with gherkins on the dancefloor. The partying continued until dawn in the underground club thanks to tunes selected by DJs Michel Gaubert, Marie Branellec, Headbangirl, Ezra Petronio and Paul Sevigny, among others. Those yearning for more then headed to Andre's other joint, Le Baron, the infamous establishment which once served as a high-class hooker club. Ah oui, comme ca! -Linlee Allen
