The converted 19th-century gas company building in the heart of the city is the epicenter of Antwerp's creative dominance, housing a quartet of fashion-related organizations: MoMu, the fashion museum known for its groundbreaking exhibits that focus on broad, brainy themes (i.e. "Russia" and "Desire"); the Flanders Fashion Institute, a commerce-oriented body that promotes Antwerp fashion at home and abroad; the renowned fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts; and the editorial offices of A, a magazine guest-edited by the likes of Martin Margiela and Haider Ackermann.
