We're crazy in love with these new faces
By Joseph Tenni

Edita Vilkeviciute
With the arrival of Baltic beauty Edita Vilkeviciute, the newest signing at powerhouse agency DNA, the fashion world is once again in the grips of Lithuania mania. The Carmen Kass doppelgänger features in the current campaign for D&G, shot by Mario Testino, and soon will appear in Another, Numero Japan and Italian Vogue. You can't spell editorial without Edita.

Yuliana Bondar
Ukrainian wonder Yuliana Bondar has everyone ogling. The brazen brunette with a passion for poetry, philosophy and punk walked for Marc Jacobs during the last round of shows and has recently booked with Velvet, Plastique, Italian Glamour and Chinese Vogue. She may even bring bangs back.

Megan Kuitems
Calling to mind a young Veruschka, teen tomboy Megan Kuitems packs a punch. As in, she literally gets in the ring and boxes—not surprising from a self-described "military brat" who lived on bases all over the States. Now she pops in alterna-mags like Interview, Purple, Crash and Numero Japan. After modeling, she says she hopes to work as an art director, and somehow we think she'll make that happen.

Annemarije Rus
Dutch damsel Annemarije Rus turns heads wherever she goes. This probably has to do with a striking resemblance to Helena Christensen, but with a Cosmo Girl shoot under her belt and her own chart piled high with options, the tulip will no doubt blossom this season.

Lyoka Tyagnereva
The blue eyes of red-hot Russian Lyoka Tyagnereva hypnotize all in her midst. The Slavic stunner walked for Dolce & Gabbana, D&G and Lanvin last show season, and will soon appear in Italian Vogue and Tank. It won't be long before she has the world in a trance.

Lauryn Tinker
From coastal Queensland, Australia, comes surf goddess Lauryn Tinker. After riding the wave to the shores of New York, the six-foot femme fatale shot a Abercrombie & Fitch campaign with Bruce Weber, coming out soon. Life's a beach.

Agnete Hegelund
Great Dane Agnete Hegelund was the surprise hit of the recent collections—Chanel, Givenchy, Kenzo, Burberry, Blumarine, Viktor & Rolf—and can now claim a spread in Italian Vogue and Steven Meisel's campaigns for Pringle and Alberta Ferretti. Her sister Gertrud was featured in Model Mania back in 2006. Way to go, Team Hegelund!

  Hint Shop
There's UK street fashion, then there's London-based Ground Zero. Launched in 2003 by brothers and graphic artists Eri and Philip Chu, the unisex label is more than getting off the ground, it's taking off, already selling in some of the world's best stores: Selfridges, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong and Seven New York.

 Shoptart
The diktats of the house of Balenciaga are, once again, reverberating across fashion. For spring, it's like a petal pandemic, with floral prints blooming all over the place. With the launch of an e-boutique, still more Balenciaga can be had, like this floral City bag, a web exclusive. Also this month: Miu Miu, Topshop, Issey Miyake and more...

"Madonna starves herself on a raw macrobiotic kosher vegan kaballah diet and works out three hours a day to maintain the physique of a 12-year-old gymnast boy, and then has the cheeks of a 300-pound woman implanted into her face. And her forehead is like a plastic baby's bottom. It's like Nicole Kidman's forehead at the height of her botox addiction, and we all remember how unfortunate that era was."
