Monthly batch of hot new models to feast your eyes on
By Joseph Tenni

Valeria Karpinen

There's a new amazonian Estonian! Valeria is generating more buzz than a chainsaw after recent appearances in Italian Vogue, L'Uomo Vogue, Italian Elle and Sleazenation. Carmen who?
Mathilde Jakobsen

This hiking fanatic is climbing to the top. Mathilde reached the modeling summit in her native Denmark, having graced the cover of the coveted Scandinavian fashion title Eurowoman, and is set to conquer New York. If the great Dane has her way she'll also be climbing the music charts: Mathilde plays guitar in an all-girl funk band in Denmark.
Zuzana Buchwald

Oh, Zuzana! This Polish teen had a most impressive show season, having walked for Miu Miu, Prada, Ungaro and Helmut Lang. (Zuzana was scouted by Wolfgang Schwarz of Look Models, the same man responsible for former Model Mania stars Petra Kvapilova, Andrea Januskova and Viera Schottertova.) Look out for Zuzana in Dazed & Confused, shot by Cedric Buchet. Sadly, she's without a banjo on her knee.
Lucy Palmer

She's from a small town in Texas, but this vivacious Virgo is about to hit the big time. Lucy has already appeared in Teen Vogue and worked with heavy weights like Raymond Meier and Camilla Nickerson. Next up is a British Vogue shoot with Carter Smith. Lucy could be the biggest thing to come from Texas since, well, Anna Nicole Smith!
Anne Marie van Dijk

We like Miss van Dijk! So do Thomas Schenk and Corinne Day, the photographer who catapulted Kate Moss to stardom. Just a wild guess: It won't be long before the rest of the fashion world's gone Dutch.
Mimi Roche

For someone with such a sweet Southern voice, Dallas native Mimi Roche is making quite a noise. Mimi had a promising first show season in New York, having walked for Marc by Marc Jacobs and Rude Girl. We predict this season she'll really turn up the volume.
Iselin Steiro

A Norwegian high school student who loves to play volleyball, Iselin is jumping into the big league. In her first season Iselin's already walked for Prada and Calvin Klein and is creating a lot of interest at editorial level. Spike it!
