Monthly batch of hot new models to feast your eyes on
By Joseph Tenni

Drielle Valeretta

New Brazilian on the block Drielle Valeretta, bearing a striking resemblance to Jeisa Chiminazzo (a fellow Brazilian and Model Mania alumnae), has had a busy couple of months. She walked for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson and Libertine in the last round of shows, which led to bookings with the British and Italian editions of Vogue, shot by Ellen von Unwerth and Paolo Roversi, hitting newsstands and mailboxes soon. Cherubic and freckly, Drielle is easily the freshest face in fashion.
Julia Dunstall

The newest jewel in Canada's crown is Julia Dunstall. Another discovery by Mode Models' Kelly Streit, the sparkly Alberta native has clocked up runway miles for YSL, Gucci and Miu Miu, and has appeared in Numero, British Vogue, V and Italian Vogue twice. Having also shot the See by Chloe campaign by Inez Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, will the skateboarding, rockclimbing Leo leave her tomboyish ways behind? Stay tuned.
Alison Nix

All bets are on Alison Nix. The jetsetting Gemini from Las Vegas had a stunning show season that included Chanel, Marni, Kenzo, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Missoni. She can also been seen in Flair, Teen Vogue and the Benneton campaign by David Sims. It seems the all-American teen has already started hitting the jackpot.
Michaela Hlavackova

Czech charmer Michaela Hlavackova is making quite an impression. The five-foot-eleven brunette stormed the runway as one of few newcomers at Calvin Klein, while her flawless face has graced the covers of D and Italian Elle. All hail Michaela!
Jandra Dziaugyte

Lithuania mania once again hits the modeling world. The culprit this time is teen tearaway Jandra Dziaugyte, who had an excellent premiere season in Paris walking for Christian Lacroix and Chanel. Unstoppable!
Portia Freeman

With appearances in Pop and Another, she's already a familiar face in her native Britain and the face of Topshop and Matthew Williamson's fragrance, but Portia Freeman is now setting her sights on the world. Look for the quirky Libran (think Goldie Hawn circa Laugh-In) in Japanese Vogue and Nylon, among other launchpad glossies. Ten, nine, eight...
Julie Marracino

Taurean teen Julie Marracino is often likened to Christy Turlington. Difficult shoes to fill, no doubt, but there are plenty who believe that the honor roll student and track team star can go the distance. In her native Buffalo, New York, she's already, dare we say, a runaway success.

  Hint Shop
If Rad Hourani were writing this blurb, it would be over already. That's because, for the soon-to-explode French-Canadian designer, it's all about extreme minimalism. Thus, the concept behind this one-size-fits-all, unisex, sleeveless T-shirt—printed with the dates and times of a calendar—is that it can be worn by anyone, anytime.

 Shoptart
While the launch of Rick Owens' London store has been pushed back, we can report the space will be just as dark and macabre as you could want, with a few added touches alluding to the British Empire’s wicked history—like this sculpture of his head on a platter. Also this month: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Heartless, Prada and more..
