Lucky for me, running late for his presentation at Milk, Patrik Ervell had his show running on a continuous loop. Models, coiffed as if they'd jammed their fingers into electrical sockets, stomped through a labyrinthine runway, backlit by a setting sun as a maddening yet brilliant din of sound enveloped the room. Stovepipe trousers paired with clear plastic raincoats felt fresh, and Ervell gave us more of his signature tailoring that he does so impeccably well. The latex used for belted windbreakers extended to a few other looks, where it was wrapped around as a shawl. "Condom scarves!" I heard someone say, astutely.
