Though it would seem natural—nay, an inalienable right—for models to go into acting, it all too often ends tragically, sometimes comically so.
Agyness Deyn is out to change that. According to the Guardian, the semi-supe, who hasn't modeled in recent memory, is confirmed to play the lead in the sequel to the English gangster film Pusher, based on the 1996 Danish cult hit. Her character, a drugged-out stripper named Flo, is a small yet critical role, thus the spin-off. Producer and screenwriter Nicolas Winding Refn relocates her to Las Vegas, where presumably things don't go according to plan.
The Hollywood dream may just pan out for Deyn, who's also set to appear in Sunset Song, the big-screen adaptation of the 1932 Scottish novel. It can't hurt that she recently eloped with actor Giovanni Ribisi, which would have remained a secret were they not spotted at the L.A. County clerk's office.
