We hear from an inside source that Kanye West is planning to break back into the spotlight with costumes designed by Christophe Decarnin for Balmain. It was only a matter of time before the trash-talking rapper adopted the brand with an over-the-top glitter quotient for his stage pieces.
Spotted out and about in numerous Balmain men's looks, the self-proclaimed “voice of this generation” is having Decarnin custom-remake a portion of the Balmain fall '10 collection, specifically seventies-centric pantsuits, cutaway coats, and gilded jeans. This comes as no surprise considering Kanye’s been a front-row fixture at Decarnin’s shows for the past few seasons. Kanye in showy gold brocade pants and a 17th-century pirate blazer? Sounds like a perfect fit.
