Things are getting curiouser and curiouser in the year-long Dior drama. Christopher Kane said today, definitively, that he is not in the running for the top design job at the house after Suzy Menkes floated the Scottish designer's name in the same International Herald Tribune story in which she lambasts the carelessness of such speculation.
"While it is incredibly flattering that I could be considered for a role at a house such as Dior at this stage in my career," Kane told Vogue UK, "I can confirm that I have not been approached. I am focused on developing my own label and my ongoing collaboration with Donatella Versace for Versus."
