With a new album dropping next year and a memoir coming out in December of this year, Courtney Love is in the beginning stages of a press push. Or did it begin with her ad campaign for Saint Laurent? At any rate, she gave some quotes to Billboard magazine that consisted mostly of her talking up her new songs (they're "inspired" and "excellent") while putting down the current pop-music scene ("I don't think the bar is set very high in popular music right now at all. And my bar's extremely high").
Slightly less predictably, concerning the memoir, she divulged, "There's some salacious things about myself, but there's certainly no kissy-telly. I don't do kiss-tell. It's not that. In fact, you'd think I was the Virgin Mary from his book so far — but that doesn't mean there's not juicy parts in it. It's just juicy parts about me, not other people." She's apparently forgetting about the time when, two years ago and probably on another press push, she claimed to have had an affair with Gavin Rossdale while he was with Gwen Stefani. She washed that morsel down with the assertion she also had a fling with Kate Moss in the 90s, adding, "I hope she doesn't get mad that I outed her about it... I feel like such a kiss and tell."
