If you’re even vaguely familiar with David Lynch’s work, then you know how reliant his films are on surreality, that hazy highway between here and there, probability and randomness, sobriety and intoxication. Right, now imagine being lost in that world, wandering amid the auteur's psychic automatism.
We’re not talking about some transcendental meditation technique, but a Lynch-designed Paris nightclub (142, rue Montmartre, 75002). Launching in September, Silencio—also the name of the club in Mulholland Drive—will house a movie theater, concert hall, art gallery, restaurant and, of course, a bar. Even its hours, 6 pm - 6 am, are eccentric enough for a Lynch-worthy evening. Silencio's seating (the only photos released so far) says it all.
We can only imagine what you’ll look like on your way out. Your walk of shame will be epic.
