“Inspired by hair” has to be one of the least delicious statement this side of trichotillomania, unless you’re Tom Scott, whose collection of knits came frizzed, smoothed out, twisted, braided, looped and cut. It makes perfect sense he’d stage his presentation in Beauty Bar, where one generally goes to let down one’s coiffure. This was part of his clever series of moebius-strip maneuvers, where the cardigans donned chignons and the chignons were nearly knotted into sweaters. So now we’re left wondering which came first, the alpaca reversible circle sweater or the cashmere capelet dress. Hair weaves never looked better.
