NK: Web publishing, but it's only been a year and a half for us at Showstudio.

LC: Tell me the workload isn't a nightmare.

NK: Yeah, we were all very surprised. We thought things would be simpler on the Internet. Multi-media elements like sound and movement are very seductive, but they take up a lot of time. I'm trying to give it enough of my time to get it up and running.

LC: This is your baby, along with graphics guru Peter Saville. How personal a project is it?

NK: Very. Fashion is a medium based on the future, but the fashion industry can be so behind. Some houses are modernist in the approach to their own work but fear things they don't understand. I'm not a great lover of technology, but there are things magazines can't do. It's getting better though.
