LC: Is there anything too experimental for Showstudio?
NK: Like what?
LC: Something that's too sexual, disgusting or vulgar?
NK: I have fairly strong morals, so we stay away from anything we feel is morally wrong, like the use of fur, but I do that in all my work. Julie Verhoeven recently did a series of illustrations with Peter Saville. It was a restoration of classical Japanese design, but very sexual. It was mild but we checked with the company that serves our site just in case.
LC: Because you never know what the law is in Tasmania.
NK: We have to check even though we're not trying to appeal to children or sex-crazed teens.
LC: No naked Britney Spears? Uh oh, now search engines will shoot us millions of teeny-boppers because of those three words.
NK: She can be naked if she wants (laughs) but I doubt she wants to, and we're not after that market.
