From couture trash to Euro-flash, Hint pays attention to retail

Prowl the urban jungle in these tiger-faced heels from Marjan Pejoski, but don't get into a catfight. The fierce feline sandals are just one of the fashion-forward pieces on sale at Seven New York. Take your pick of the litter at 30 percent off. 180 Orchard St., 646-654-0156.

Resort fashion gets a face-lift with resurgent Christian Lacroix's eye-popping summer collection for Pucci. The couturier trims the fat at the fabled house, getting it in shape for a younger group of jet-setting clients. Lacroix works with a light touch, cutting gossamer silk chiffon and satin into deconstructed, body-conscious silhouettes. Sail away at Pucci 24 E. 64th St. 212-752-8957.

Danish designer Ann Wiberg, one of the Scandinavian country's hefty names in fashion, and her partner Roberto Henrichsen, formerly of Anna Molinari and Missoni men's, say they started Trash Couture last year like they used to party, "trashing out luxury codes, going baroque 'n' roll." No longer a whim, the Trash is now picked up by finger-on-the-pulse stylistas and red carpet regulars like Gwynnie P. who crave the modestly-priced silk 'derelict' silhouettes, semi-precious stone-embroidered bustiers and custom-recycled vintage frocks. Available by special order in one of Wiberg's five namesake stores in Denmark and London, or at their lavish Paris atelier: Showroom 20, Place des Vosges, 75004, Paris, +33 1 42 77 26 65. —Marie le Fort of www.la-couture.com

Put two far-out Bulgarian girls (Yassen Samouilov and Livia Stoiamova) and an overly-animated Portuguese guy (Andre De Sa Pessoa) into a room and you get the space-tripping, aspiring couture line On Aura Tout Vu. It's so bizarre that Christian Lacroix enlisted the trio to become his star accessory designers earlier this year, unleashing a storm of sequin-embroidered fishnets, garter belts with electric-hued beads and buttons and other odds-and-ends onto the world. Their own collection is a world in itself, complete with kaleidoscopic knee-caps, bejeweled badges, gold laminated leather sleeves and bell-decorated ankle wraps. Barbarella, eat your heart out.   Designed by the Scotland-based Morven Kerr and Piero Landi, Fevered Deviant has been obsessively collected by the Japanese since its launch in 1999, but the duo's Alice in Wonderland-themed spring/summer collection—with its exaggerated proportions and daft appliqués—have so-hip-it-hurts chicks Kate Moss, Chloe Sevigny and Jade Jagger hooked, too. Denim "Alice" skirts with floor-length net trim, sweatshirts with "Tea Time" pins and tees emblazoned with "What Will Become of Me?" are the kind of fantasy fare available this summer from the kitsch-kouture label, with prices ranging from $50 for undies to well over $1,000 for signature pieces. Available in London at Liberty, 210-220 Regent Street, +44 2077341234, and in New York at Language, 238 Mulberry Street, 212-431-5566. —Kerrie Bond
